VeloCloud Networks can notch another win in the services space. Hot off a deal with AT&T and a $27 million Series C infusion by Cisco Investments and others, the cloud-based SD-WAN provider along with TelePacific today announced a long-term contract to enable delivery of TelePacific products and services over SD-WAN anywhere that a customer has broadband connectivity.

EarthLink and MetTel are also VeloCloud partners.

Using the VeloCloud-powered SD-WAN solution, TelePacific’s partners can now more quickly turn up new locations, add or delete services and monitor network performance through a single cloud-based dashboard.

“Today, voice and video are just as business-critical as data, and we provide the management, access and reliability our customers need,” says Jared Martin, vice president TelePacific’s ITx managed services business.

TelePacific says that its new managed services platform, enabled by SD-WAN, “almost immediately” pushes out the configuration data needed to fill a customer’s requirements and gets ordered services up and running within minutes. The company also points out that, since it manages the entire end-to-end delivery, it can support multiple continuity and security levels. As a result, TelePacific has expanded its traditional five-nines performance guarantee to a 100-percent uptime promise for select services.{ad}

“Delivering high-quality and resilient performance over any network connection from any carrier is key to our national growth,” says Martin. “We already have more than 100,000 hosted communications seats, and the ability to be truly transport-agnostic is going to make that number explode.”

TelePacific’s nationwide SD-WAN option is in generally availability now for new UCx orders, but there is some fine print. Initially, TelePacific is applying the new SD-WAN capabilities to its enhancing its OTT capabilities as well as the flagship UCx unified communications suite, but it says to watch for the 100-percent uptime guarantee to apply to other products as they are brought onto the new national grid.

For providers who see SD-WAN as critical to their businesses and want to gain skills, at Channel Partners Evolution VeloCloud announced its VeloCloud Powered certification, available to partners that offer SD-WAN products and services based on its technology.
