Online security provider AVG Technologies this week announced the release of its 2016 Business Edition software suite, which the company says provides new profit opportunities for partners.
The new suite provides enterprise scale security to channel partners and SMBs, and is now available globally. It includes new versions of its AVG AntiVirus Business Edition and AVG Internet Security Business Edition products, and a remote-management console to provide businesses remote access to all systems on a network.
Joanna Brace, AVG Business’ vice president of marketing and product marketing, tells Channel Partners her division was launched to help partners “deliver enterprise scale security solutions to their SMB customers, as well as managed IT services.”
“AVG Business provides an integrated set of cloud security, and remote monitoring and management software solutions to simplify the lives of IT providers, MSPs and their SMB customers,” she said. “Today, we have more than 10,000 partners across the globe serving SMBs across a range of businesses.”
With 2016 Business Edition, AVG is adding “new value” to its partners’ product portfolios and the “ability to maximize their monetization opportunities,” Brace said.
“The software now has a sleek user interface for a better ‘at-a-glance’ view with features like high-performance scanning (and) real-time outbreak detection that relies on crowd intelligence technology to find the newest malware variants in software, as well as artificial intelligence,” she said.
Channel partners will receive free upgrades to the 2016 Business Edition with renewals of existing licenses. AVG Business is also hosting security webinars for SMBs and providing reseller kits for partners.
The new suite also features online shield to identify dangerous downloads, and file shredder that deletes data.
Channel partners play a key role in the successful implementation of AVG’s products for their SMB clients, Brace said.
“Central to our expanded security strategy is our ongoing commitment to our channel partners and our focus on providing them the technology, tools and best practices to monetize their products, grow revenue and support their SMB clients,” she said.
Based in Amsterdam, AVG’s technology is delivered to more than 200 million monthly active users globally.
