He comes to RapidScale with 23 years of experience in technology. He spent 18 years with Cisco’s technical-services organization and filled many roles including customer-support engineer and business-operations manager for global outsourcing.
Most recently, Martinez was the global technology owner for the management and automation software group that supported teams in the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica and India. He also served in the U.S. Air Force as a switch technician in the communications squadron.
“My career has focused on supporting customers and building support teams,” he said. “I believe a support organization is the face of a company that builds customer loyalty and drives customer satisfaction. I am excited to work for a company that has such a positive culture and customer focus.”
RapidScale also recently hired a partner experience manager and a director of client experience.
“We are both very excited and very lucky to attract such a talented leader in Dustin Martinez to lead our global support organization,” said Duane Barnes, RapidScale’s senior vice president of technology. “Dustin has over 18 years of experience building out various multinational support teams within Cisco and is exactly the person we need to continue scaling the RapidScale support team across the globe. We look forward to his positive influence on the customer experience.”
RapidScale recently announced it is partnering with ScienceLogic to produce a monitoring, performance and security offering for the former’s global managed cloud services.
