Commtouch (CTCH) is changing its name to Cyren to complete "its transformation into a leading provider of cloud-based information security solutions," that can be offered by partners via a private label the company said.

Cyren Web is the company's first service offered on its cloud service infrastructure. The service enables businesses to secure Internet transactions for roaming users, smartphones and tablets. It is built using real-time malware detection and proactive data analytics

Cyren Web allows partners to deploy new security services through any ecosystem, opening new revenue streams, the company added.

Cyren chair and CEO Lio Samuelson said in a prepared statement that this move is "far more than just a name change."

"This rebranding comes during a defining moment for the company, as we continue our successful strategy of shifting from a component technology company to a plug-and-play complete security solution provider," he said.

The company said it will continue to trade as CTCH on the NASDAQ exchange and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). The name and ticker symbol for both financial markets are scheduled to change in February.

Channel partners looking to work with Cyren can learn more about the company's partner program on the company's website.
