Comodo, the cybersecurity vendor and certificate authority, on Tuesday launched Comodo Academy, a free self-paced and interactive education portal for its MSP partners.

The new Comodo Academy is where partners can get trained and certified on the Comodo ONE platform for IT and security management (ITSM). The online portal contains tutorials, quizzes and practical exams to expand a partner’s security knowledge.

“Comodo ONE is a robust platform with lots of capabilities, and we want our partners to get the most out of it. That’s why we created the academy. We want our partners to succeed, because if they succeed, we succeed, too,” said Comodo CEO Melih Abdulhayoglu.

Currently in the portal is a course called, Be A Comodo Dragon – Get Certified. The course includes nine videos and several practical exercises and quizzes. Successful completion of the course earns the student a Comodo Dragon certification, including a badge that can be posted and shared.

Comodo offers free IT management applications and a 30-day free trial of many of its security features, such as Dome Shield, Valkyrie and the patent-pending Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP). Comodo offers other benefits as well, such as access to unlimited custom scripts, a major problem-solver for IT administrators and MSPs alike. Users also have free around-the-clock support and Comodo’s promise that the platform will be free forever.

The vendor says it continually adds new applications and enhances existing apps with new capabilities based on user input. The free academy is designed to give partners the knowledge and tools they need to maximize the benefits of Comodo ONE for their businesses and customers, increase revenue and decrease expenses.

The Comodo Academy is available on most operating systems, including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. There also is a Comodo ONE mobile app that focuses on ticketing; it’s available on both Apple and Android.

Comodo recently hired a number of channel executives, including John Siverd, senior director of worldwide channels, who jumped ship from Symantec.
