Contrast Security has launched its new MSSP program so partners can support businesses of all sizes with code security solutions.

The new MSSP program is under the Security Innovation Alliance (SIA). Contrast and its strategic partners developed SIA to provide customers with fully integrated application security solutions.

Partners that join the MSSP program can include Contrast Security solutions as a part of their managed security services suite.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

Tracey Mead, Contrast Security’s vice president of global alliances and MSSPs, said her company received consistent inbound interest from partners, customers and prospects.

“Partners wanted the tools to offer best-of-breed application security solutions to what they saw as an underserved part of the market,” she said. “Customers were interested in outsourcing portions of their application security program with a consistent, predictable cost. Some prospects prefer to buy security services as a managed service and believe they provide a faster time to value and a more manageable cost. Application security specialists are in great demand. And leveraging an MSSP may allow an enterprise to limit the amount of these hard-to-find resources they need, which is very important to them.”

Benefits to MSSP Partners

MSSP partners will get access to the  following offerings:

  • The Contrast Secure Code Platform, a unified solution that spans the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Continuous feedback for developers to help them secure as they code.

  • Cloud-native development security locking down both Amazon Web Service (AWS) Lambda functions and Microsoft Azure functions.

  • Runtime application self-protection (RASP) that hardens the application stack against vulnerabilities including zero-day attacks.

“Partner input was an integral part of formulating our program,” Mead said. “We’ve talked with a number of partners during program development to understand their program, technical and commercial pricing requirements. We integrated the feedback into our inaugural program launch. And we will continue to consult and listen to our partners to ensure we have a program with the benefits, support and resources they need to succeed.”

Ease of Working with Contrast Security

A key design point was making sure it was easy for MSSPs to work with Contrast Security, Mead said.

“We built a program with tools and support specifically for MSSPs to develop and deliver incremental services to protect their customers’ code,” she said. “We have operationalized everything, including onboarding, sales enablement, implementation and support. These components not only make it easier for them to work with Contrast, but it helps them get their customers up and running quickly.”

Contrast Security solutions have a broad variety of use cases that can bring value from small businesses to large enterprises, Mead said.

“Our partner-driven Contrast MSSP solution will allow partners to provide improved services to secure code through continuous vulnerability monitoring and zero-day attack detection and protection to parts of the market that were previously underserved,” she said. “This will allow our partners to realize new opportunities and an expanded addressable market.”
