F-Secure Splits, Unveils New WithSecure Brand for Corporate Security Business
Many partners expected the split so both businesses could grow faster.
F-Secure has split into two companies and relaunched its corporate security business under the new brand WithSecure.
The company developed the new brand in extensive collaboration with F-Secure employees, reseller partners and clients. The name reinforces the belief that “facing cybersecurity challenges together produces far better results than trying to protect anything alone.”
During the past few years, F-Secure transformed operations into two strong businesses. The launch of WithSecure follows initial announcements last month about F-Secure’s plans to split into two separate companies to increase customer relevance, focus and clarity in its value proposition.
The consumer business is a separate company under the F-Secure brand.
F-Secure Split Means Stronger Focus on Customers, Partners

“With the demerger, both of our businesses will be able to better focus on the needs of their respective customers and partners and, in doing so, serve them better,” he said. “WithSecure’s strategy is clearly set to growth. As a separate company, WithSecure is able to allocate investment to fit these growth ambitions so that we will be able to accelerate the speed of execution and increase competitiveness.”
Quite a few partners were expecting F-Secure to split so that both businesses can grow faster, Neville said.
“For many partners, the pure focus on the corporate security segment is a huge advantage as it means focus in strategy and business model, product road maps, etc.,” he said. “Also, we have included our partners in the brand development and tested our messaging, visual ID and even new name along the way to make sure the brand hits the mark.”
Starting with a fresh brand, messaging and approach helps increase partners’ business, Neville said.
Creating Measurable Security Outcomes
WithSecure focuses on creating measurable security outcomes for partners and customers, Neville said.
“Outcome-based security rejects the traditional mentality, where cybersecurity is all about saying no,” he said. “It replaces negativity and fear with a fresh approach that enables businesses to make security an asset, not a liability. Instead of piling on products and solutions on decision makers who feel trapped by threats they may not understand, we collaborate with our partners and customers to produce security outcomes that deliver undeniable and measurable results.”
WithSecure’s portfolio consists of cloud-native and intelligent endpoint protection, cloud content protection for Salesforce, managed detection and response (MDR) and a range of cybersecurity consulting services.
Juhani Hintikka is WithSecure’s CEO. He envisions WithSecure assuming a unique, European role in the global cybersecurity industry.
“Like any European company, we value privacy, responsibility and sustainability,” he said. “And we don’t see our European headquarters, roots and operations as limitations. Rather, we recognize our unique ability to offer organizations all over the world a European partner for their cybersecurity needs.”
