CHANNEL PARTNERS CONFERENCE & EXPO — Pax8 has added Keeper Security’s suite of tools – including password management and secrets management, privileged and secure remote access, and encrypted messaging – to its marketplace.
Pax8 made the announcement in conjunction with the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.
The Keeper Security platform uses a zero-trust, zero-knowledge security model built on an encryption framework to help MSPs protect SMB clients against cyberattacks and breaches. Keeper designed the solution for quick implementation and integration, and to decrease help desk costs and ensure regulation compliance.
Ryan Walsh, Pax8’s chief strategy officer, said the Keeper platform fits well with the distributor’s high-touch, high-tech go-to-market strategy.

“Password management is a pain; it’s complex,” Walsh said. “One of the things Keeper shined on was an ease-of-use focus. And it’s built for MSPs. We don’t always see that.”
Made for MSPs and the SMB
Pax8 is often approached by vendors looking to reach the SMB with tools that are designed more for the enterprise. That type of product not always ideal for MSPs.

“It’s clear that Keeper is wired to bring its platform to market with an MSP focus,” Walsh said. “That’s really good for us because our partners count on us to curate vendors that get it. You don’t want MSPs to worry that a vendor will go around them and go direct to the customer. When you have a vendor with a service that’s built for MSPs, it really stands out.”
Marcia Dempster, senior director of channel sales at Keeper Security, said the company’s password management tool is the only one that’s currently FedRAMP authorized, which helps MSPs broaden their sales reach into federal government accounts. Keeper is also adding a variety of partner incentives to the launch, including dedicated account support and engineers, as well as promotional events.
“We’re throwing everything we’ve got at this partnership,” Dempster said.
The Keeper MSP offerings through Pax8 include KeeperPAM, Keeper Password Manager, Keeper Secrets Manager, Keeper Connection Manager, Compliance Reporting, KeeperChat, Advanced Reporting and Alerts Module, BreachWatch, and Secure File Storage.
