Identity Access Management (IAM) solution provider SailPoint launched its Identity+ Alliance program on Wednesday, as the company looks to help partners integrate their security solutions with its IdentityIQ platform.
By including a series of standards and tools designed to help partners integrate their security solutions with IdentityIQ, SailPoint said it expects to improve the overall effectiveness of customer security and risk mitigation solutions. All of the new tools are centered around SailPoint IdentityIQ 7.0, which was also released this week as the foundation for the Identity+ Alliance program.
IdentityIQ 7.0 is being touted as the first open IAM platform capable of integrating with a user’s operational and IT security infrastructure, according to the press release. Aside from its more technical features, the platform enables users to bring privileged user accounts under IAM controls so companies can conduct audits as well as automatically remediate policy violations.
SailPoint has also included the ability to integrate mobile device management systems with the platform to enable user-specific mobile onboarding and unified mobile security policies, the company said.
“The Identity+ Alliance is designed to share identity context and support identity-specific policies across disparate systems, so that breaches can be better identified and minimized,” said Joe Gottlieb, senior vice president of Corporate Development at SailPoint, in a statement. “Ultimately, we believe this will enhance the analytical, operational and governance value of our customers’ operational and security infrastructures.”
The program currently includes nine inaugural partners such as AirWatch, BeyondTrust, Informatica and Regatta Solutions Group. SailPoint said the Identity+ Alliance is an expansion of its existing integration partnerships with companies like Good Technology, MobileIron and Symantec, and will allow partners to offer a larger portfolio of its cloud and on-premises connectors to their customers.
The launch of the Identity+ Alliance comes just months after the appointment of Juliette Rizkallah as SailPoint’s new chief marketing officer, as well as the appointment of Harry Gould as vice president of Worldwide Alliances and Channels
