AT&T Inc. is reintroducing the AT&T brand for wireless services its sells on the Cingular Wireless LLC network it jointly owns with BellSouth Corp.

The brand has been on hiatus since Cingular Wireless LLC bought AT&Ts spinoff AT&T Wireless in October 2004.

AT&T made the announcement yesterday, at the same time it also introduced a managed service AT&T Multi-Carrier Solutions that will help enterprises control their wireless costs.

The AT&T-branded mobile service will be available the second half of this year, while the managed service is available now.

Were going to take the confusion, complexity and cost of managing numerous vendors, plans and devices out of the equation for businesses, said Mark Keiffer, AT&Ts chief marketing officer-business. We will work with businesses to give them a complete view into their wireless usage and to recommend how to make the most of their wireless resources.
