Brightlink IP Hires Former IntelePeer Exec

Brightlink's new executive vice president has more than 35 years of telecom experience.

IP communications provider Brightlink IP has appointed John Belanger, formerly with Peerless Network, Telarix and IntelePeer, as executive vice president of its sales team, charged with driving global sales and overseeing key customers, and helping to lead the company’s business development strategy and implementation.

Belanger previously was Peerless Network’s senior vice president of U.S. domestic sales. His more than 35-year career history also includes positions with France Telecom (now Orange), MCI (acquired by Verizon) and EDS Advanced Solutions (EAS) (now Advanced Solutions, an HP company).

“This vantage point allows me to make the best decisions for both Brightlink and our partners as we structure deals to grow our respective businesses,” he said. “I look forward to the opportunity to grow together; the Brightlink IP team and I share the same values when it comes to providing unrivaled quality and value-added services to our partners. Brightlink IP, which delivers carrier-grade voice, messaging, and application-based services, works with resellers and agents in the channel, and has a channel partner program and standard agent agreements.
