VoIP application software provider BroadSoft and InterVOIP Exchange, a members-only VoIP-peering network, today announced availability of a special “BroadSoft Membership” in the InterVOIP Network for service providers using BroadSoft’s BroadWorks VoIP application platform.

By joining the InterVOIP Network, BroadWorks-based service providers can terminate calls for free on all other members’ networks, avoiding the cost of PSTN termination when the called party uses a VoIP service from another member.

The BroadSoft Membership includes a waiver of the initiation fee required to join the InterVOIP Network; it also includes a waiver of monthly minimums and special tools developed by InterVOIP for BroadWorks administration of inter-provider traffic.

“Our customers wanted to join an IP-peering network so their calls are ‘IP all the way’ when possible,” says Scott Wharton, vice president of marketing, for BroadSoft. “In addition to reducing cost, their key requirements included security, quality of service and ease of administration. The BroadSoft Membership addresses these requirements, and we are delighted InterVOIP is delivering this innovative program exclusively to our customers.”
