Broadvoice has expanded its team by hiring a former Time Warner Cable executive.

Vinit Ahooja will serve as vice president of operations for the unified communications provider. Broadvoice says Ahooja will “focus on scaling and optimizing the company’s customer success initiatives” as it grows on a national level.

Ahooja, who goes by “Vinnie,” will move from Carlsbad, California to Los Angeles for the position. Broadvoice moved its headquarters to Los Angeles in 2015 after more than a decade in Massachusetts.

Broadvoice’s Vinit Ahooja

Broadvoice says Ahooja brings a deep cable background to the table. He most recently worked for Time Warner Cable – which Charter bought and merged with Spectrum – as vice president of customer operations. He also worked as director of operations and vice president of the Cox Communications unit that became Suddenlink Communications. Chief Operating Officer George Mitsopoulos also credited his experience in running operations.

“Vinnie has a successful track record of running large service-delivery, technical-support and customer-care teams and his experience that will be invaluable as we continue to grow rapidly,” Mitsopoulos said. “Our focus as a company, and what really differentiates us, is our service culture. Vinnie fits right in. He has only been with us for a few weeks, and already his leadership is helping us take our service delivery and customer support to the next level.”

Ahooja credited his new employer for how it is “always striving to improve the service experience.”

“The more I learned about Broadvoice, its management and employees throughout the interview process, the more impressed I became and wanted to play a role in what they are building,” Ahooja said. “Broadvoice has an amazing culture and unwavering commitment to providing extraordinary service to channel partners and customers, but its people never rest on their laurels.”

Broadvoice has announced numerous hires with diverse technology expertise over the last two months. Its most recent move was the appointment of three channel managers in the Southwest. The company in April hired a director of channel — with experience at SD-WAN provider Ecessa and UCaaS provider ShoreTel.

Broadvoice rolled out new UCaaS and contact center platforms in March.
