Dave Singleton, founder of the U.S. Payphone School, Ballston Spa, N.Y., which trains
entrepreneurs for the payphone business, has sold the school.

The new owners, George Sowards, owner of Premiere Payphone Services Inc., Bowling
Green, Ky., and Jack Wheatley, owner of Wheatel Communications, Louisville, Ky., plan to
take up the school’s mission to "train individuals so they can get into the business
and the don’t have to depend on anyone," Wheatley says.

Since its inception 10 years ago as a division of US Inter/Com, Ballston, Spa, N.Y.,
the U.S. Payphone School has launched about 400 companies into the payphone business.
