Carmel Solutions Inc. (Booth 628), a provider of the TELEPRO line of telecom back office management solutions, has signed a multi-year agreement with LEACO Rural Telephone Cooperative of Lovington, N.M., to provide billing services and software to handle customer care, provisioning, A/R and collections, data management and mining. It also interfaces with the company’s Lucent and Nortel switches.

LEACO is a rural wireless carrier, a rural ILEC, an ISP and reseller of local, long-distance, pager and cable TV services. With about 13,000 customers and 17,000 active service lines, LEACO has been doing business in eastern New Mexico and western Texas for 50 years.

At the center of Carmel Solutions’ services to LEACO will be the TELEPRO rating and billing engine, which runs in CSI’s Oceanside data center. It will produce consolidated bills for multiple lines and services all on a single invoice for LEACO’s member customers. Combined with the TELEPRO management software running on CSI servers in LEACO’s data center and TELEPRO-Capture interfacing with LEACO’s switches for provisioning and call collection, this gives LEACO a data processing solution unmatched for its breadth, quality and pricing, says Carmel Solutions.
