The UCaaS platform is designed to meet the specific requirements of government agencies.

PRESS RELEASE — WASHINGTON – CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) recently added a Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) platform powered by the BroadSoft (NASDAQ: BSFT) Government Cloud to CenturyLink’s General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 contract.
The IT Schedule 70 contract is the federal government’s largest and most widely used acquisition vehicle and is also commonly used by state and local governments.
The UCaaS platform is designed to meet the specific requirements of government agencies with its secure, scalable, mobile, on-demand infrastructure that can enable multi-site workplaces.
This cloud-based communications solution is fully integrated with CenturyLink’s secure, carrier- class network and expands upon the company’s existing portfolio of commercial hosted voice-over-internet- protocol (VoIP) offerings, with the additional benefit of meeting the unique security requirements of federal and state government agencies.
In addition to the expanded security controls, this solution delivers flexible pay-per-use options that span secure voice, high-definition multi-point video, collaboration and mobile integration.
“CenturyLink looks forward to providing government agencies with modern, cost-effective unified communications solutions that can help with agencies’ digital transformation needs via GSA’s IT Schedule 70,” said Erich Sanchack, CenturyLink senior vice president and general manager, federal solutions.
“We are thrilled that CenturyLink selected the BroadSoft Government Cloud unified communication suite and that government agencies can now access these services through a major government-wide contract vehicle,” said Jim Tholen, chief financial officer at BroadSoft. “The BroadSoft cloud services infrastructure is specifically designed to address the security requirements of the U.S. government, enabling CenturyLink to deliver compelling unified communications services to its government customers.”
By supplying cybersecurity, cloud, managed hosting and IT services over its carrier-class network, CenturyLink provides government agencies with the security and reliability they need to carry out their important missions.
CenturyLink is currently ranked No. 35 on Washington Technology’s 2017 Top 100 list of federal government IT contractors.
