At Lumen Technologies, combining midmarket sales with the indirect channel moved Dave Young (left) into the role of SVP, midmarkets and indirect channel. His experience with the company goes clear back to 2002 when he was with the former Level 3 Communications.
Also of note at Lumen, Ashley Haynes-Gaspar joins as EVP of customer success, wholesale and international. She comes from Microsoft, where she spent five years as COO of business applications and industry.
A change-up at HPE puts Simon Ewington, VP of worldwide distribution, into the interim role of leader of worldwide channel and ecosystem, as well as the GreenLake partner ecosystem.
It comes as two key channel leaders leave: George Hope, SVP of worldwide channels and ecosystem; and Maurice Martin, VP of the HPE GreenLake partner ecosystem.

Cable companies got in the human resources act, with Albert Krivopisk (left) landing the title of executive director, indirect sales at Comcast Business. It’s a promotion for Krivopisk, who has been with Comcast since 2009. His previous title was senior director, national partner programs.
That’s Mark Steinberg on the right, starting a new job with Sangoma, the cloud communications provider. Based in New York City, he is a regional channel manager covering the Tri-State area. AppDirect, TPx and PGi are some of this former employers.
On the left, that’s Darrin Bryant, also a regional channel manager based in the Big Apple. He spent much of his career at MegPath and RingCentral.
A number of leadership changes at IBM include Rob Thomas as chief commercial officer. His previous position was SVP of global markets. Thomas has spent nearly 24 years at the company.
Other moves at Big Blue included the retirement of a well-known 40-year alum.
It all comes as IBM launches a revamp of its partner program.
You’re looking at Scott Gould, national channel manager, East, with Quest Technology Management, which provides data center solutions.
Gould joins Quest after a short stint at Verizon; you probably know him from 17 years at Windstream where he was a senior channel manager.
Frank Rauch (middle) was one of the bigger moves of the month, taking on a new role as channel lead at Cato Networks, the secure access service edge (SASE) company. Rauch has a long history in technology and the channel, with stops at HPE, VMware and Check Point.

Also on the move at Cato is Eyal Webber-Zvik (right), VP of product marketing and strategic alliances. It’s a promotion for the seven-year company veteran.
And in another promotion, Ron Hamlett (left) is Cato’s new director of channel. With the company for four-and-a-half years, Hamlett previously was AVP, Americas — tech services distributors and agents.
Katlyn Taylor just joined Opti9 Tech, the hybrid cloud solutions provider, after nearly four years at Avant Communications, where she was a channel manager.
Taylor’s title at Opti9 is channel account executive.
No word yet where longtime tech distribution veteran Tim FitzGerald will land next. He surprised some by announcing his departure from Ingram Micro last month.
He spent five-and-a-half years at Ingram Micro, and more than eight before that at Avnet.
Nerdio, the Microsoft Azure virtual desktop provider, appointed Andy Baker (left) as chief people officer and Suresh Thirunavukkarasu as chief product and technology officer.
It’s a promotion for Baker, while Thirunavukkarasu joins the team with 20 years of experience at Cisco, VMware and more.
Eric Brooker, who you know from Bluewave Technology Group, Bigleaf Networks and his popular industry podcast, has ventured out on his own with a new consulting practice.
Brooker, who is targeting the vendor community with his expertise, told us all about it and reflected on the industry as a whole in this interview with Channel Futures.
Multicloud solutions provider Rackspace named Brian Lillie president of its private cloud business unit. The move comes as the company realigns and begins to execute its two-business unit operating model.
Lillie comes to Rackspace from Zayo Group, where he was chief product and technology officer. Before that he spent 10 years in executive positions at Equinix.
Mark Wyllie, the well-known channel veteran who is the founder and former CEO of Flagship Solutions Group, has moved to Masters Telecom, where he will be president of embedded solutions and alliances.
Masters is a Verizon-exclusive reseller known for being one of the channel’s leading solution providers for wireless and telecom.

A pair of moves at tech services distributor Sandler Partners.
On the left, that’s Jason Fontana. The new channel director covering Arizona, Nevada and Utah has spent time at Avaya, LogMeIn and Vonage.
On the right you see Dave Povlick, senior sales engineer. He was recently at Nextiva after a more than 28-year career at Advanced Telecommunications of Illinois.
A trio of changes at tech services distributor Avant Communications.
Based in the Houston area, Cameron Worthen (middle) is now a channel manager with the company. His old title was inside channel manager. He has other experience from Comcast Business and Logix Fiber.
Then there’s Autumn Risick (left), senior channel manager covering Georgia and the Carolinas. Risick, a longtime AT&T employee, spent the last three years at RingCentral.
And it’s a promotion for Jaime Matoba (right), now senior director of business development at Avant. It’s a newly created role at the company. The three-year veteran of the TSD also has experience from Tripp Lite and InContact.
Matt Scully just signed on as a senior channel development manager with Kaseya.
It’s a homecoming of sorts for Scully, who spent five years at Datto (which Kaseya bought last year) in the last decade. Since, he has had stops at Mailprotector and most recently Redstor, where he was channel chief for seven months.
Madelyn Webster’s new gig is channel sales manager at Logix Fiber Networks, the voice and data solutions provider.
Webster brings experience from NICE InContact, Aircall, Edify, Avaya and more.
After nearly six years at Splunk, Brooke Cunningham (left) has moved to Inriver, which offers product information management software. The company’s new chief marketing officer also spent time at Datto.
Brad Habansky also is new to Inriver, joining as chief sales officer. He most recently was at ElasticPath, where he led account management, pre-sales and customer success. Other former employers include Oracle and Salesforce.

Based in the Portland area and representing the Pacific Northwest, Jeff Waddell’s 35-year career in the channel continues as a channel manager for Ooma, the business communications supplier.
You’ve no doubt run into him when he worked at Comcast, Time Warner Cable, New Edge Networks or another stop in the channel.
DataBank, supplier of data center, cloud and interconnection services, hired Jennifer Curry as its new SVP of managed services.
Curry most recently was executive VP of product and technology for INAP, the hybrid IT and enterprise cloud solutions provider. She will oversee multiple aspects of DataBank’s managed and network service offerings.
After holding multiple roles at Star2Star Communications in nine years there, Britta Johnson is off to iTelecom, the cloud and telco service provider.
Johnson, whose last title at Star2Star was partner onboarding manager, will be an inside account manager at iTelecom.
RapidScale, the managed cloud service provider owned by Cox Business, hired Dean Hovind as a cloud solutions consultant. He will represent the Central South region of the U.S. He will be responsible for building strategic partnerships, enabling partners and helping to deliver services to customers.
The 15-year veteran of direct and channel sales most recently was executive VP for business development at IT consulting firm Quantum Symphony.
Michelle Accardi stepped aside as chief executive officer at Logically, the managed IT and security service provider, to make way for Joshua Skeens (pictured), the former COO and CTO at Cerdant, an MSSP, which Logically acquired in 2021.
Skeens brings to the job a “customer-centric approach,” Accardi said.

Rob Moyer takes the reins of global head of corporate partnerships at Gong, the revenue intelligence company.
Moyer spent nine years at Synnex but also brings experience from Automation Anywhere and Nextiva.
Based in Texas, Tiffani Nelson is a new channel manager for AireSpring, the cloud communications provider.
Nelson brings experience from Nexogy and Claro Enterprise Solutions.
Bill Goerlich is the new director of alliances for Amplix, a partner business that just formed in December when three agencies came together in a merger.
Goerlich was at Nutanix for almost four years before taking his new job.
Mike Peth Jr. joins Five9 as midmarket sales director.
The cloud contact center company hired Peth after a career that has included stops at Nextiva and West Unified Communications.
It’s a promotion for John Hogan, now VP of operations at SD-WAN provider Bigleaf Networks.
Hogan, who has been with Bigleaf for nearly eight years, started as VP of partner sales and business development. Before Bigleaf, he was a channel director at Comcast Business and Level 3 Communications.
Graph data platform Neo4j turned to Alyson Welch as its new chief revenue officer. She will lead the company’s global field and partner operations, services and customer success organizations.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly six years at Twilio and 14-and-a-half years at Akamai.
Steve Lucas takes the top spot at Boomi, the former Dell company that specializes in integration platform as a service.
The new CEO has 27 years of experience in enterprise software, having held executive roles at Adobe, SAP and Salesforce.
Cologix, the data center solutions provider, promoted Maggie Terwilliger to director of channel sales.
The three-and-a-half year veteran of the company started as a senior marketing manager. Before Cologix, she was a channel marketing manager at CoreSite.
Network service provider Lightpath turned to Oscar Sed (right) as a new senior channel manager. Based in Miami, he is a veteran of Convergia, Claro Enterprise Solutions, Nexogy and more.
Also based in Florida, Eric Perreault (left) is a national channel manager who brings experience from Verizon, Bigleaf, Lightyear and more.
Vectra AI named Rob Rosiello its new SVP of sales for the Americas.
He last was CRO and executive VP of worldwide sales and field operations at Skybox Security. He also has experience from Motorola and Riverbed Technology.
Vectra specializes in threat detection and response.

A pair of SentinelOne alumns are heading over to CrowdStrike to help drive revenue at the security company.
Daniel Bernard (left) takes on a new role with CrowdStrike, as chief business officer. He is responsible for driving revenue from the company’s global channel and accelerating momentum with its global partners. Raj Rajamani’s title is chief product officer of data, identity, cloud and endpoint (DICE).

It’s a pair of promotions at Telesystem, the provider of nationwide managed technology services.
Ryan Tims (left) is now manager, channel sales, West. He previously was a sales engineer with the company for four years.
Brian Buchman gets a bump from manager, channel sales, East, to senior channel manager. He has been with Telesystem since 2014.
Technology solutions brokerage Telarus needed a new senior director of customer success, so they turned to Chris Otenbaker.
Otenbaker landed the job after two years at Lumen. He also spent a short stint at AppSmart, but has 11 years under his belt from Bullseye Telecom.
Vice president of channel sales is Kyle Walker’s new title at CommandLink, the SD-WAN platform provider.
You might know him from three years at 8×8, where he finished as national channel director, and 13 years at Mitel.
Matthew Westover is now a part of team Gluware as its chief revenue officer.
Gluware, which provides “intelligent network automation” for the cloud era, snared Westover, who will lead all aspects of the company’s sales, business development and strategic partnerships, from SUSE. He also brings experience from F5 Networks and CA Technologies.
The same month she left Datto, Desraie Thomas landed at DataStream Cyber Insurance as a channel development manager.
Thomas, who held the same title in her nearly four years at Datto, also brings experience from Passportal.
Motus, the mobile workforce management software company, made a trio of hires of interest.

His career highlights include more than three years at Ericsson and more than eight at MegaPath.
Upstack, the upstart which has bought nearly 20 agencies over the past two years, hired Jeni Weinstein as its new senior manager of customer success.
NEC, Nextiva, Wildix and 8×8 are among her former employers in the channel.
Devo Technology, the cloud-native logging and security analytics company, appointed Brian Froehling to the role of chief revenue officer. With 20 years of experience, he will oversee Devo’s global sales, channel, solution engineering and revenue operations teams.
If you know Froehling, it’s likely from Brightcove, where he ran $220 million in global sales. Before that, he was VP of sales at CA Technologies.
As part of its partner program revamp, ServiceNow tapped Erica Volini to lead it.
Volini replaces David Parsons as SVP of alliances and channel ecosystem. He’s taken a new role within the company.
Volini has been with ServiceNow since 2021. She was with Deloitte for 23 years.

Sammie Walker is the new chief marketing officer at Zimperium, the mobile security specialists.
Walker has a long career in marketing, most recently at Bugcrowd Infoblox and Aerospike.
Gene Berger took a job as senior system engineer with cybersecurity giant Fortinet.
He spent the last four-plus years at Gigamon. Berger also brings experience from Check Point Software Technologies.
Mary Catherine Wilson, who spent 23 years in channel marketing with Dell, is now the senior vice president of global marketing and customer experience at Future Tech Enterprise.
Wilson wrapped her Dell career last year as the global marketing leader for Virtustream, a Dell Technologies business.
Jennifer LeBouf is a new national partner manager with Veeam, the backup and disaster recovery company.
Cloudian and A10 Networks are among LeBouf’s former employers.
After eight months at Dynamic Network Advisors, Adriana Hayes moved on to ForgeOS, which aims to improve processes and deliver savings across the telecom life cycle.
Hayes is best known for her eight years at Telarus, where she finished as a strategic development manager.
Germany-based Commercetools, the cloud platform that provides APIs to power e-commerce sales for large businesses, named Blaine Trainor its new VP of global partnerships and alliances.
Trainor, who spent 12 years at SAP, will work with Commercetools partners such as Deloitte, Capgemini, AWS and Google Cloud as part of heading the company’s global partnership ecosystem.

Lumen and Comcast were among the big channel players with people on the move in January.
The human resources departments throughout the channel were busy as people started new jobs in the new year. The new hires and promotions were plentiful, as this month’s edition features more than 60 faces!
Lumen, for instance, is doing some restructuring among channel personnel, resulting in some title changes for people you know. Furthermore, Comcast promoted a couple of channel execs to bigger roles.
HPE had some shifting at the top of its channel structure and Logically appointed a 20-year veteran as its new CEO. Moreover, ServiceNow revamped its partner program and named a new channel leader.
