CopperCom Launches Partner Alliance Program
March 22, 2006
CopperCom has announced the CopperCom Partner Alliance, a program that enables technology vendors in the voice, converged data and software applications sectors to work alongside CopperCom to develop and deploy certified, interoperable joint solutions for TDM and next-generation networks.
The program facilitates CopperCom and its industry-leading partners in providing multivendor, best-in-class solutions to service providers. The joint solutions enable service providers to leverage emerging technology and standards, offer new, revenue-generating services and flourish in an increasingly competitive environment, the company said.
“We believe that innovation is the end result of teamwork,” said Bob Kersey, vice president of partner and market development for CopperCom. “The CopperCom Partner Alliance formalizes the way we work with our partners, which will obviously benefit all the companies involved in the program as well as our customers.”
The core components of the CopperCom Partner Alliance include opportunities for joint development, formal interoperability testing and certification in a controlled environment, joint marketing opportunities for program partners and access to CopperCom’s state-of-the-art, customer-facing demonstration lab. The lab incorporates central and remote office architectures, as well as outside plant and customer premise equipment, and showcases Alliance-Certified offerings in a “live” environment.
“CopperCom and Pannaway currently have numerous joint telco customers throughout the U.S.,” said Mark A. Carpenter, president of Pannaway Technologies. “Our CopperCom alliance provides these valued customers with the assurance that they can use our joint lab certified interoperable solution to immediately deliver next-generation triple-play broadband services including SIP-based, primary line VoIP with guaranteed lifeline calling and E911 support.”
Chalan Aras, vice president of marketing of Ditech Communications, added, “CopperCom has been a fantastic partner of ours for over a year. The introduction of the Partner Alliance Program now gives us even more opportunities to enable CopperCom to successfully package our session border controller with their complete VoIP solution offering.”
Bill Eckles, CEO of BevComm, echoed, “Our experience has been that CopperCom is committed to facilitating solutions. CopperCom has aggressively worked with key industry partners to ensure that BevComm has been able to smoothly offer multivendor solutions, reducing our time-to-market and expense.”
Key Partner Alliance members to date include: ABP Technology, Allied Telesyn, Calix, Carrier Management Systems Inc., Cordell, Inc., Ditech Communications Corp., InnoMedia Inc., Innovative Systems LLC, Integra5 Communications, IVR Technologies, Nuera Communications Inc., Pannaway Technologies, Sage Instruments, Telenetwork Service and Supply, TelStrat and Wave7 Optics.
