LiteScape Releases OnCast Communications Client

LiteScape Technologies Inc. has released the OnCast Communications Client, an open source desktop application that unifies access to business applications and data sources with IP-based communications systems.

The company also introduced the LiteScape Developer Network for ISVs, systems integrators and end users that provide tools, documentation and support for applications leveraging the OnCast Communications Client.

The OnCast Communications Client is a standalone desktop application that supports a combination of different communications services including authentication, presence, remote call control, directory and application integration, collaboration and conferencing, and broadcasting and paging. The open source application will give users the ability to customize these services and integrate them directly into their own unified communications applications, LiteScape said.

The LiteScape Developer Network gives developers access to reference code samples and documentation that demonstrates how to develop applications using the OnCast Communications Client. Developers also can download LiteScapes Multi-modal Application Platform (MAP) to test their applications.
