PlanetOne Communications formed a new relationship with the telecommunications provider Frontier Communications.

The Arizona-based master agent announced the partnership Tuesday. Frontier joined PlanetOne’s preferred partner program. PlanetOne’s subagents deepen their connectivity, unified communications and managed services portfolio as a result. Frontier is known for offering internet and voices services in addition to “digital safety” from the Frontier Secure division.

“We are seeing tremendous demand for connectivity, collaboration and security solutions that enable businesses to grow and scale their operations,” PlanetOne Founder and CEO Ted Schuman said. “We are excited to welcome Frontier Communications to the PlanetOne Preferred Provider program and look forward to working with their team to provide our channel partners and agents with access to their full suite of voice, video, security and managed services offerings.”

Roy Labrador, Frontier’s vice president of national channel sales, credited PlanetOne for its channel footprint.

“We are excited to be teaming with PlanetOne to deliver our high-quality communications services through their growing nationwide network of channel partners and agents,” said Roy Labrador, vice president of national channel sales for Frontier. “Together with PlanetOne we’ll identify and guide our business clients throughout their buying journey — from pre-sales support to post-implementation services. PlanetOne’s support experience and high-touch culture encourages the high level of engagement we want to have with our channel partners, and we look forward to working with them to create new sales opportunities, close deals and drive revenues for us and our channel partners.”

The company lists Intelisys, TBI, Telarus, Telecom Consulting Group, Sandler Partners and WTG as its six platinum master agent partners. Frontier is now part of the PlanetOne Solutions Navigator program, which provides free educational resources and marketing and sales resources. PlanetOne added Expereo to the same program earlier this year.

Frontier recently landed a spot on Channel Partners’ Top 20 Ethernet Providers You Should Know list. Vertical Systems scored the company fifth among incumbent U.S. carriers providing Ethernet services. Frontier was eighth in the same ranker’s leaderboard of fiber-lit buildings in the U.S. The provider on the same day unveiled its first quarter earnings, including $2.10 billion in revenue and an $87 million net loss.
