Qwest Rolls Out IP Solutions for Wholesale Customers

Qwest Communications International Inc. today introduced Qwest IP Solutions a WAN service that simplifies complex data communications for wholesale customers.

Based on Qwests nationwide MPLS network, Qwest IP Solutions provides secure, reliable WAN connectivity among various customer locations; additional service customization, such as Internet access and QoS traffic prioritization options; and port speeds up to 2.4gbps.

Qwest IP Solutions targets wholesalers offering applications such as VoIP and real-time streaming multimedia. The service is backed by SLAs that measure performance.

Qwest IP Solutions enables customers to use a more efficient network for their business because MPLS technology gives them simpler management and configuration, easier provisioning, and a highly scalable service, said Derek Koecher, director of wholesale for Qwest. With Qwest IP Solutions, customers do not have to render their current networks obsolete. Instead, we help them use their existing investments to implement a better solution.
