CHANNEL PARTNERS RingCentral Inc. (Booth 7020) today launched RingCentral Communication Expert (RCCE) training so partners may increase their technical and product knowledge.
The curriculum covers the following topics:
Router and firewall settings
Switches, POE, QoS, VLANs
Advanced call handling
Third-party phones and ATAs
RCCE training also familiarizes partners with the new RingCentral Office Enterprise Edition, a collaboration and file-sharing platform for smartphones, tablets and computers that’s positioned as a rival to Webex, Go To Meeting and other such platforms.
“What we’re hearing from customers is they’re already paying for WebEx and Go to Meeting, along with a traditional phone system,” John Forrester, senior director of product marketing for RingCentral, told Channel Partners in January. “It’s costing them $50 per user just for video conferencing and Web share with no entire cloud phone system. …So, we’re offering a complete, integrated solution.”
RingCentral Meetings is powered by Zoom Video Communications. Office Enterprise Edition includes RingCentral Meetings. Pricing starts at $44.99 per month, per user. RingCentral offers different compensation models to channel partners. The Standard Program provides up-front commissions and smaller residuals, while the Residual-Only Program provides just that. There’s also a referral program for lead generation.
RCCE training is available to channel partners on the RingCentral Partner Portal. Partners who earn a score of 85 percent or higher receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to use the RCCE logo in their communications.
