Sandler Partners Taps WOW!, Globalcom Alum for Midwest Channel
Sandler Partners calls the Midwest a "high-growth market."
Sandler Partners has hired another person to offer support to partners in the Midwest.
Sandler Partners’ Kim Lombardo
Kim Lombardo is the new channel manager for the region and will serve agents in Denver and Chicago, which are “high-growth markets” for the master agency. Lombardo lives in Denver.
She joins Ryan Yakos, whom Sandler hired in the spring to direct the company’s Midwest channel. Sandler, which is based in Hermosa Beach, California, has hired multiple personnel in other states this year.
“Kim is an accomplished channel manager and technology sales executive who has cultivated a strong and trusting reputation in the channel community,” said Yakos. “She has the energy and skill set to be a very effective advocate for Sandler Partners’ agents and their clients, and to help grow the Midwest market for us. We’re excited to have her on our team.”
Lombardo most recently worked for FITTelco, a Chicago-based telecom broker. She directed channel sales at the company. She worked three years at WOW! Business, finishing as national channel sales manager. But her longest tenure was 15 years with Globalcom, which First Communications acquired in 2008.

Lombardo says she made the job change after speaking to some of her associates in the Midwest.
“I knew that joining Sandler Partners was the best path forward for me and the many partners with whom I’ve developed relationships over the years,” she said. “Sandler has a strong supplier portfolio and a talented staff that [are] very responsive and dedicated to helping partners close deals and grow their own businesses. I couldn’t be more pleased to join the Sandler team and look forward to contributing to the company’s incredible success.”
Sandler earned top honors for TPx Communications’ highest selling partners in 2017. Masergy named it to a select list of platinum partners last week.
