Sphere Teams With Polycom, AGS

Software developer Sphere Communications Inc. this week at VON unveiled a new IP PBX for SMBs, which it created with the help of Polycom Inc. and Adtech Global Solutions (AGS).

The new product, the Sphere Business Communications System, is based on Spheres Sphericall IP PBX Release 5 and integrates Polycom’s line of SoundPoint IP desktop and SoundStation IP conference phones. AGS will package the Sphere-Polycom products, and also provide professional services and support such as pre-configuration and staging services for reducing installation time.

Sphere and Polycom recently received Joint Interoperability Test Command certification required for deployments in the U.S. Department of Defense.

“Every business should demand a system to have passed the same high level of

testing as required by the DoD,” said Graeme Robinson, president of Sphere Communications.

The Business Communications System will be available in April with a new set of partner programs for resellers.
