TBI Takes Home CenturyLink Channel Alliance $1 Million Reward For Second Year in a Row

For the second year in a row, Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) has won the CenturyLink Channel Alliance Million Dollar Reward for exceptional sales performance.

The program awards $1 million to any agent that increases its business with CenturyLink by $2 million in monthly recurring revenue at any time between 2010 and the end of 2015. TBI won the Million Dollar Reward for the first time in 2013; the company met the growth target in fewer than three years. Then, TBI ramped up monthly recurring revenue by another $2 million in about one year, once again securing the million-dollar purse.

So far, TBI remains the only company to land the Million Dollar Reward, and Geoff Shepstone, president of TBI, plans to make three times a charm.

“We’ve bet on the winning horse, we’ve lapped the other guys now and we’re well on our way to a third one,” Shepstone said. “In the event that we get a third [Reward], we will share that with new agents.”

David Powers, vice president of marketing, said TBI earned its standing with CenturyLink Channel Alliance by helping agents and VARs focus on consultative sales, rather than transactional deals.

“We got to these revenue numbers, this reward, because of the work we’re doing with our partners,” Powers said. “We’re helping them become more strategic.”

Blake Wetzel, vice president of sales for CenturyLink Channel Alliance, agreed.

“TBI has a winning formula to help business customers improve their technology strategies with CenturyLink’s…services,” he said, adding that the master agency “helps today’s business leaders solve their most pressing IT and communications challenges.”

TBI intends to further those efforts by continuing to pump more into its operations. From back-office processes to personnel, “we’ve really invested a lot,” Shepstone said, all with the aim of giving channel partners more resources, visibility and responsiveness.

In addition to the Million Dollar Reward, TBI this year also took home CenturyLink Premier Elite Alliance Awards for highest revenue growth and highest sales attainment.
