Telarus added a new employee to further support and empower partners in the area of cloud services.

Robert Greenough is the master agent’s newest cloud-sales engineer for the Southeast. He will assist Telarus agents in designing and selling a variety of solutions, including UCaaS, contact center and security.

Josh Lupresto, who leads sales engineering for Telarus, called Greenough an “all-star in the UCaaS industry.” Greenough has worked in unified communications and IT for more than 16 years.

“He’ll hit the ground running with our existing partner community in the Southeast. We also know he’ll have no problem attracting new partners who are focused on growing their UCaaS business with Telarus,” Lupresto said. “His ability to understand the client’s needs, to design the perfect solution, and then to help present that solution directly to the client, white-labeled as the agent, will set him apart in the industry and help our partners look like experts in front of their customers. For us, it’s all about making our partners look good and helping them close deals outside of their weight class.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in August.

Greenough most recently worked for Star2Star Communications as a senior solution engineer. He served at the cloud communications provider for almost four years, briefly working alongside Megan Thai, whom Telarus hired in July.

He worked as a systems administrator in two different positions — one being the Sarasota County, Florida, government.

He credited Telarus for its acquisition of VXSuite, which improves UCaaS monitoring. He also complimented Josh Lupresto for building and scaling the sales-engineering team.

“Telarus has built and purchased so many time-saving software tools over the past decade, culminating with the Unified Communications Matrix that it just launched in June at Partner Exchange,” Greenough said. “I’ll focus on using these tools, and my own experience, to help our partners close the huge and exciting deals in ways our competition can’t or won’t.”

Greenough hails from Tampa, Florida, and will continue working in the western part of the Sunshine State.

Telarus last month announced the new branding of its Oceanic expansion.
