Telarus Signs Exclusive VXSuite Deal to Help Partners Make That Pivot to Trusted Adviser

Telarus Inc. is giving its partners, most of whom come from the telecom world, a chance to get more involved with customers’ networks, thereby acting more like resellers than agents.

That’s because the company has signed an exclusive distribution deal with VXSuite, which provides network monitoring and alerting software for unified communications platforms. Thanks to the Telarus-VXSuite agreement, partners now may conduct network assessments prior to new deployments; monitor network performance; and work on a proactive basis with carriers to resolve service outages and other quality issues.

Telarus partners may offer all of VXSuite’s products under their own brands, earn residual commission, and stay close to the end user. To help make this happen, VXSuite agreed to create a more telecom-friendly portfolio for Telarus partners, since its lineup tends to target VARs.

“Our exclusive partnership allows our partners, many of them for the first time, to get involved with their clients on a level above the carrier selection discussion,” said David Bashford, president of Telarus. “They can now offer to monitor the network and address issues – like the need for more bandwidth – in real time.”

VXSuite’s products include platforms for ShoreTel and Microsoft Lync. There also are solutions for tracking, mobility, and call accounting and recording, among others.

“With the level of sophistication required to make most unified communication products work effectively increasing, telecom agents have to adapt and add more value on a technical level,” said Roger Blohm, president of VXSuite, adding that, due to the Telarus-VXSuite deal, “Telarus partners will be able to make that pivot to trusted adviser.”

Telarus said its new engineering department has been certified in VXSuite’s products; that division’s vice president said the VXSuite line will give partners a leg up in their missions to easily offer more sophisticated services.

“In unified communications, there are so many possible failure points that many partners tread lightly or lack confidence to put their reputations on the line to make recommendations,” said Tyler Smith. “VXSuite is the perfect tool to allow partners, engineers, and VARs to view the entire network, find problems before they happen, and optimize the WAN to ensure the end user is enjoying fantastic call quality, glitch-free video conferences, and higher productivity as a result.”
