Check Point launching SD-WAN? AWS partnering with a UCaaS/CCaaS provider?

Managed SD-WAN and SASE provider Aryaka Networks is adding more points of presence.
The San Mateo, California-based provider announced plans to add 27 new POPs. Those POPs will come with Aryaka’s AppAssure application performance technology. Current POPs will also get the SaaS accelereation benefits of AppAssure, the company said.

RingCentral and AWS announced a multiyear agreement to assist clients moving to the cloud.
As a result, AWS will offer its customers RingCentral’s respective unified communications and contact center platforms.
RingCentral, on the other hand, will give AWS clients technical resources for workstreams and support AWS Marketplace listings and integrations.

Veeam Software executives said businesses can better recover from ransomware attacks using its new platform.
Veeam Data Platform works in tandem with hardware providers Scality, Pure Storage, Object First and Cloudian. It exists in three different SKUs: foundational, advanced and premium. Notably, the offering can send backups to object storage.

GoTo updated its Resolve offering with remote monitoring and management features.
The new capabilities include customizable dive monitoring and a systems diagnostics dashboard. The features complete what GoTo executives describe as the first IT management and support solution with native RMM.

Cisco announced several updates across its portfolio.
The vendor announced ThousandEyes support for OpenTelemetry. It also previewed its full-stack observability platform. Those updates came in conjunction with Cisco Live Amsterdam.
At the same time Cisco announced that more than 50 partners could sell Webex Suite Named User through AWS Marketplace.

N-able partnered with SentinelOne to give MSPs a managed endpoint detection and response service (EDR).
The service features security analysts who make themselves available on demand. The vendors are calling the solution as leveraging an “enterprise-grade SOC.”

Disti TD Synnex and MSSP Chorus launched a managed XDR solution.
Chorus will perform the managed detection service on behalf of TD Synnex partners in the UK. The offering leverages Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Sentinel, and TD Synnex will provide support staff.

Communications service providers (CSPs) are deploying VMware‘s Telco Cloud platform.
NTT Data and Samsung Electronics are just a few companies that are teaming with VMware for this project. For example, Samsung is integrating its virtualized radio access network (RAN) with the Telco Cloud Platform.
In other news, VMware previewed its SD-WAN client, which will go live shortly.

Executives said the Quantum SD-WAN solution brings Check Point solidly into the SD-WAN sector. The offering features both connectivity optimization and next-gen threat prevention.
Check Point also unveiled its Extended Cyber Attack Prevention Platform, designed to protect network, email and endpoints.

NetApp is giving midsize enterprises a new line of flash-based storage arrays.
AFF C-Series costs less than NetApp’s A-Series. It specifically targets non-mission critical workloads, the company said.

Nerdio announced updates to its unified management platform.
Nerdio Manager for Enterprise now includes Nerdio Unified Application Management, which brings together Windows applications from various archives. Nerdio said that will allow admins to save time and cut down on license costs.

The overarching changes to IGEL Cosmos are that the company has broken up the base operating system into something more modular. As a result, it has “fully separated the base operating system from the applications,” an executive said.

Endpoint-focused products and telco-cloud partnerships dominated the news last month.
Vendors continue to bulk up their portfolios organically and inorganically to offer partners the fullest platforms to sell and leverage. For example, Channel Futures observed companies using technology partnerships to establish managed detection and response (MDR) services. IT management software company N-able and IT distributor TD Synnex both brought in MDR/MXDR capabilities to give MSPs and resellers enhanced security options.
In addition, Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress brought the channel plenteous news about mobility and telecom. The world itself couldn’t contain all of the clippings that came out of the conference, but Channel Futures noticed a trend of cloud providers courting telco companies into deeper partnerships.
SD-WAN and SASE also drew media attention last week. Check Point Software Technologies said its new solution put it in the SD-WAN market, and Aryaka Networks announced plans to deepen its global footprint.
