Tech Data on Wednesday introduced its new 30 Days to Cloud Analytics program, aimed at providing a consolidated approach for partners to migrate, integrate and manage their customers’ workloads to cloud business intelligence and data warehousing.

The program reduces barriers to entry and time to market for partners looking to capitalize on opportunities in the growing cloud analytics market. It now is available to Tech Data partners in the United States and Canada.

Colin Blair, vice president of data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) at Tech Data, tells Channel Partners more of his company’s customers are seeing a demand for cloud analytics solutions within their client base. One of the most critical success factors for cloud analytics deployments is ensuring the clients have a strong hybrid cloud data-management strategy, he said.

“This program reduces barriers for channel partners who currently do not have the skills available internally,” he said. “Our team will work side by side with them to ensure their clients are successful. However, in order to scale, we help our customers learn from their experience with Tech Data specialists so they can execute this methodology on their own.”

Waypoint Consulting is an analytics provider and VAR. Tech Data accelerates its time to market through business development, pre-sales support and marketing.

“We appreciate Tech Data’s thought leadership in the analytics market,” said Jon Serafino, a partner with Waypoint. “This offering is another example of their end-to-end partner support and market specialization.”

According to IDC, cloud will be a preferred delivery mechanism for analytics by 2018. This partly will be driven by new cloud pricing models, which are expected to contribute to five times higher growth in spending on cloud versus on-premises analytics solutions.

“This offering is currently available to all existing Tech Data channel partners who are interested in helping their clients move to a cloud or hybrid cloud strategy,” Blair said. “We also encourage those not currently partnering with Tech Data to learn more about the value of a partnership by contacting our analytics team.”

Tech Data has established a single global brand for its newly combined organization that includes Avnet Technology Solutions.
