Kronos Launches Workforce-Centrics Apps Marketplace for SMBs

KronosWorkforce Ready cloud management workforce suite for SMBs is getting a bit of a facelift, offering new features for its human resources, payroll and time and attendance processes.

The company’s goal with the cloud services is to provide simplified access to and management of real-time employee data. The latest version of the Kronos Workforce Ready suite of cloud services was made at the 15th annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition in Chicago, where the company exhibited its products and services.

New features and enhancements to the platform include:

  • Compatibility with Kronos InTouch time clock. In this latest version, customers can leverage InTouch to “reshape the way employees interact with their workforce management data.” Another cloud service, InTouch was designed to work securely over the Internet and through firewalls. Its color touchscreen, graphical interface and multimedia capabilities were designed to provide customers with a high level of personalization for faster employee adoption and increased productivity.

  • A Workforce-centric applications marketplace. Through the apps marketplace, Workforce Ready integrates with products and services from a variety of accredited third-party providers directly through the application. Applications are certified for inclusion in the Workforce Ready Marketplace, with the idea of extending the reach and functionality of Workforce Ready SMB cloud services. A few of the first services that are available in the marketplace include a service that enables background checks on prospective employees, one that verifies U.S. citizenship to ensure employees are compliant with employment legislation, and another that simplifies the integration of organizations’ benefits carriers with the Workforce Ready HR application.

  • A number of new features and enhancements around payroll processing exception handling, data import and conversion processes, and support for compliance charges required by federal, state and local jurisdictions.

“These Workforce Ready enhancements will accelerate the pace of SMBs moving to the cloud and give SMBs an even greater competitive advantage with consistent, real-time employee data to make better, more informed decisions,” said Mark Ellis, general manager for Small Business at Kronos, in a prepared statement.
