IT systems integrator and services provider NTT Data is betting big on cloud services. The company announced the launch of a new Cloud Services division that will deliver to customer a portfolio of cloud lifecycle services. As the systems integrator arm of NTT Group, NTT Data plans to bring a variety of cloud-related services to its customers.
The new cloud lifecycle service are being launched to help customers "navigate the cloud landscape, implement the most appropriate cloud strategies for fastest results, and provide full-stack cloud applications and infrastructure management with a focus on ease of use and customer service." But really, the announcement focus on three different key areas of service:
Cloud Advisory Services will help customers define or refine their cloud computing visions, architectures and dynamic roadmaps. The service is a vendor-neutral offering, so there are no particular vendor products customers will have to accept as part of their cloud environments.
Cloud Migration Services will aid customers in implementing "smart cloud choices" that will drive the next-generation of their business practices. NTT Data will also help customers integrate the entire applications and infrastructure portfolio. Hopefully this means helping customers to either leverage existing infrastructure or help them find a way to migrate to new products and solutions.
Cloud Management Services will take over once the implementations and deployments are complete. NTT Data's service operations center will be responsible for using monitoring and management tools to proactively support and secure customers' assets and transactions using enterprise-class cloud application and infrastructure management services. This will include support for public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
NTT Data is targeting both enterprise and midmarket customers with this portfolio of new services.
"Cloud computing is driving a massive IT transformation and organizations need to be ready. Our clients understand change is coming and are asking for help navigating this chaotic environment," said Marv Mouchawar, president of NTT Data Cloud Services, in a prepared statement.
