Telecommunications company Telesystem has hired Seth Gibbs, formerly with NetCarrier, as a sales engineer for the indirect sales channel.

Gibbs’ addition is part of the ongoing expansion of Telesystem’s indirect agent program, and “speaks to the organization’s commitment to the consultative sales process, even when agents are responsible for the selling,” the company said. He will be based in Philadelphia, with responsibilities nationwide.
Gibbs most recently was a senior director at NetCarrier, in charge of sales, sales engineering and product implementation.
“I am extremely excited about having Seth join my team,” said Bruce Wirt, Telesystem’s vice president of channel sales. “Seth worked under my leadership for many years at NetCarrier, and I think his skills, positive attitude and relationships will lend him to be extremely successful in this sales engineering role. I have great confidence that our sales team and channel partners will benefit from his knowledge and experience.”
Last week, Telesystem announced it is using Versa Networks to expand its SD-WAN capabilities. Its beta trial and subsequent rollout of SD-WAN will include public and private network connectivity management, wireless connectivity, multi-site network support, application-based quality of service and multi-layered security.
“I have worked with Bruce for many years and I am a firm believer in his channel leadership style,” Gibbs said. “Bruce allows the partners to take the creative lead during the sales process, then asks the sales engineering team to take the vision of the channel partner and work it into a solution that we can offer. I cannot be more excited to join such a great organization that is growing so quickly.”
