During the Autotask Community Live conference in Nashville, Tenn., Autotask CEO Bob Godgart disclosed some company financial milestones. Godgart also described how Autotask hopes to eliminate the walls between managed service providers (MSPs) and corporate IT. Here are four quick highlights from Godgart’s keynote.

4. Two Tools Worth Noting: Godgart described a new Outsource Management tool, a hosted ticket-sharing system for MSPs. A second tool, called Taskfire, is a hosted “co-managed service desk” for internal and external IT resources. He offers more thoughts on video with us.

3. Seven Years of Growth: Autotask has grown its revenue every month for seven consecutive years, asserts Godgart.

2. Some MSP Cuts: Godgart concedes that the economy is impacting managed service providers. In fact, the typical MSP working with Autotask has had 3 percent staff cuts in recent months.

1. The 50-50 Rule: For every dollar in revenue Autotask generates, the company reinvests 50 cents in R&D.

We’re shooting some video interviews with a range of MSPs here at the conference. Check back late today for more perspectives. And yes, we’ll check in for PSA perspectives from Autotask rivals.
