Aryaka and Synnex have signed their first agreement to join forces to deliver Aryaka managed SD-WAN as a service, the vendor announced today. The new SaaS offer is available on the Synnex Stellr Marketplace.
Aryaka SmartServices, with flexible deployment options, includes managed services such as SmartManage, Smart Connect, Smart Optimize, Smart Cloud, SmartSecure and SmartInsights.
Aryaka’s Olen Scott
“What makes this partnership so relevant in the SD-WAN space is what we’re really known for — how we affect application performance. That’s our superpower,” said Olen Scott, senior vice president, worldwide channels at Aryaka. “We affect how applications behave in these cloud environments. In North America, no one sells more of those applications than Synnex. That’s what’s special about this relationship. There are a lot of distributors that sell network infrastructure, networking gear, security gear — and those are highly relevant and important channels to us. But the application usually drives the dialogue in these decisions. Everything is about making the application perform in its optimal fashion.”
Aryaka built SmartServices with a cloud-first approach to networking. This provides organizations with the underlying network critical to cloud adoption. It also enables enterprises to seamlessly connect to multiple clouds with ease, the company said. Aryaka SD-WAN is also a fully managed service, delivering on quick deployment timelines.
Big Partner Opportunity
Synnex’s Reyna Thompson
“This first partnership between Synnex and Aryaka could not come at a more pivotal time. At Synnex, we continue to invest in significant resources that support increasingly complex cloud and networking needs. Combining these resources with best-in-class offerings like Aryaka creates new, leading opportunities for our partner base,” said Reyna Thompson, senior vice president, product management, North America, with Synnex.

Synnex’s midmarket and enterprise-level partners are the target for WAN as a service.
“It’s ideal for partners who want to help their customers deliver optimal business-critical application performance while reducing overall connectivity costs with integrated security and management. This particular WAN-as-a-service solution is also a great add-on for our Check Point and Microsoft reselling partners, as both vendors have technology alliances with Aryaka,” she said.
Security is another key aspect of the partnership between Aryaka and Synnex. Aryaka has relationships with many Synnex security vendor partners One In particular is Check Point. At the same time, Aryaka has a sales and go-to-market partnership with Check Point for CloudGuardian Connect.
“It’s pretty rare for an SD-WAN conversation not to include security,” said Scott. “This is also a cross-sell opportunity for partners to add Aryaka into those security conversations.”
Strategic Relationship
Aryaka also has a North America distribution agreement Climb. The companies signed a deal earlier this year.
While both Synnex and Climb both have access to Aryaka’s full portfolio of SD-WAN, the go-to-market with Synnex is deeper and unique.
“This particular partnership has a much more significant mutual investment of money, resources and committed personnel,” said Scott. “With so many Synnex partners going to Synnex for their enterprise applications, it made a lot of sense for them to be selling the cloud underlay, or cloud WAN, across where those applications would be delivered. This allows them to closely manage the customer experience.”
