TBI, Avant Add New Cloud, Security Suppliers to Lineups
The biggest name on this list is undoubtedly Zoom.
A pair of big-name telecom/technology distributors are adding more products and services to their line cards. The additions come via new partnerships forged by TBI and Avant.
In fact, TBI has four new deals. The first is with BluIP, which specializes in vertical-specific cloud services. The company says it addresses deficiencies created by large-scale deployments of popular enterprise systems. Specifically, they call out Microsoft 365 Teams Calling, Cisco Contact Center and Google Contact Center AI.
Prodoscore, which just hired IT veteran David Powell as president, also has a new agreement with TBI. The company uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to measure employee productivity. Its software captures and measures thousands of daily activities across cloud-based business apps. That offers its customers intelligence to drive performance and growth.
The third new TBI supplier is ArmorPoint, the provider of security information and event management (SIEM) services. ArmorPoint says it combines people, processes and security – the three pillars of a robust cybersecurity program – into a single solution.

Perhaps the biggest new deal, however, is with Zoom. TBI’s partners can now sell Zoom’s lineup of video communications products.
TBI’s Mike Onystok
Mike Onystok is TBI’s SVP of operations.
“With the increasing need for reliable communication and collaboration tools in businesses all over the world, we couldn’t be happier to add Zoom to TBI’s provider portfolio,” said Onystok. “We are excited to offer these leading communication solutions to our partners and their customers as they transition to completely remote or hybrid work landscapes.”
Avant-Tangoe
Meantime, TBI rival Avant Communications – in TBI’s backyard of Chicago – is getting in on the act.
A new partnership between Avant and Tangoe puts Tangoe’s services up for sale through TBI’s partners. Tangoe offers telecom, mobile and cloud expense management services, as well as managed mobility services. It’s part of a move by Tangoe to expand its telecom expense management strategy across multiple verticals.
Tangoe’s James Parker
James Parker is CEO of Tangoe, who noted the partnership’s benefits for a work-from-home world.
“The Tangoe-Avant partnership is a dynamic collaboration and will bring a uniquely positioned solution that helps organizations navigate the shifting business environment,” said Parker. ” … We’re poised to drive efficiencies and optimization that add real strategic value to the customers we serve. As disruption in the marketplace continues, the Tangoe-Avant partnership will bring proven, global methodologies and best practices to any organization looking to transform and optimize in the telecom, mobile, and cloud space, including 5G and IoT.”
