Samuel Wilson Named 8x8 CEO

8×8 has appointed Samuel Wilson as CEO and member of the board of directors. He has served as interim CEO since November.

Wilson has more than 25 years of executive experience in the technology sector, including expertise in cloud-based communications, collaboration platforms and enterprise software solutions. Prior to his role as interim CEO at 8×8, he was the company’s CFO, where he played a role in driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives. This included significantly reducing financial losses, overseeing the acquisition of Fuze and increasing investment in innovation, the company said.

Jaswinder Pal Singh is chairman of the board at 8×8. He says Wilson’s performance made him the clear choice for CEO.

Wilson possesses in-depth knowledge of the growth and expense drivers of the business, 8×8 said. He has held multiple leadership positions within the company, including CFO, chief customer officer and managing director of EMEA, and senior vice president responsible for e-commerce, global small business and U.S. midmarket.

With a commitment to customer experience and a dedication to product excellence, Wilson said he will steer 8×8 toward new opportunities for growth and market leadership.
