Wireless WAN edge provider Cradlepoint is giving channel partners an engagement portal to help them better sell to and serve their customers.

The Boise, Idaho-based company on Tuesday announced Cradlepoint Cascade, a platform design to streamline and unify the partner experience. Cascade gives partners deeper visibility into their customers. That information includes the number of licenses clients own and use, and their subscription expiration dates. Partners can find in Cascade various sales resources: deal registration, product collateral, pricing and other details. Eric Purcell, senior vice president of global partner sales, said Cradlepoint relies heavily on its partner ecosystem.

“Cascade is simply about ensuring these partners have the tools and resources they need to do their job effectively,” Purcell said. “By adding this new portal to the Cradlepoint Partner Program, we are only bolstering our collective efforts to deliver effective solutions that transform businesses and drive results.”

In addition, Cascade lets channel partners access Cradlepoint University, where partners can train and earn certifications. They can embark on 30-, 60-, or 90-day training plans that will help them go to market. That training includes a “5G for Enterprise Branch Specialization” that demonstrates the technical and sales expertise required to sell 5G solutions.

Partner Feedback

Channel partners offered glowing feedback for the portal.

Brannon Holliger works as an engineering director for Presidio, which partners with Cradlepoint.

“I am pleased with the commitment that Cradlepoint has made in enhancing partner tools and the overall partner experience. It is convenient to have access to customer information regarding deployed equipment and license status; additionally, having access deal registration, pricing and Cradlepoint University all from the same interface,” Holliger said.

Last summer, Cradlepoint revamped its partner program, adding a partner marketing platform and hiring several new channel support personnel. Now the company has updated its partner portal to put all the necessary information in the same place.

Bonnie Cho is senior presales partner specialist for SHI International.

“As someone who has covered numerous partners, I’ve had to use dozens of different partner portals, and I can say that Cascade is hands down the best partner portal in my long experience,” Cho said.

Ericsson last year bought Cradlepoint for $1.1 billion.
