Telarus bolstered its channel team by hiring two regional partner development managers.

Reagan Roberts is the senior partner development manager for the Carolinas, and Phillip Brekke will oversee the Mountain West. The master agent announced Monday that both new hires will recruit new agents and deepen the UCaaS, SD-WAN and contact-center practices of existing partners.

Roberts comes from rival master agent Converged Network Services Group (CNSG), where she spent two years as a channel manager. She also worked as an account manager for Clear Connection, Cogent Communications, Level 3 and Cox Communications.

Telarus’ Reagan Roberts

Telarus notes that one of Roberts’ strengths is sales training, in addition to expertise in SD-WAN, UCaaS and other networking technologies. Ruth Morford, Telarus’ regional vice president of the Southeast, said that Roberts helped partners “exceed their growth targets” with her previous employers.

“We are beyond excited to welcome Reagan to our Southeast partner development team,” Morford said. “Reagan is a seasoned industry veteran who understands how to attract top-selling partners and open their minds to all of the unique tools and resources Telarus provides for them to grow their contact center, network and UCaaS practices.”

Roberts already has met many of the Telarus stable of agents during her previous tenures. She credited her new employer for the support tools it offers to agents, such as real-time quoting and free network monitoring.

“From my time with another master agent and from my time at Cogent, Level 3, and Cox, I met and supported many agent partners already and am eager to help them unleash their full growth potential using all the 160 providers in our portfolio as well as the many SME and software assets Telarus has built and purchased over the past decade and a half,” Roberts said.

Telarus’ Phillip Brekke

Brekke most recently worked at the desktop-as-a-service provider Dizzion in a role where he partnered with the master agent. He has also worked for IQ Wired, Comcast Business, and Cbeyond.

Mike Bettilyon, regional vice president of the Mountain West for Telarus, credited Brekke’s ability to “attract top-selling partners” and sell them on new offerings.

“With his prior experience at Dizzion, IQWired, Comcast Business, and CBeyond, we’ve experienced firsthand his unique ability to help his partners exceed their growth targets with his responsiveness, attention to detail, and thorough understanding of today’s communication technology,” Bettylon said. “He’ll be a huge asset for our partners in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Montana.”

Telarus, which merged with fellow Utah master agent CarrierSales, recently announced a unique partnership with public cloud provider Alibaba. Telarus said was it Alibaba’s first U.S. master agent partner.
