Cybersecurity firm Lumeta has appointed veteran security executive Paul Kriksciun, previously with Carbon Black, as director of channels for North America.

Kriksciun led Carbon Black’s East and Federal channel programs, and before that was director of channel field marketing at Extreme Networks and enterprise relationship manager at Citrix. At Lumeta, he will be responsible for the development, strategy and execution of programs to support the company’s renewed focus supporting customers’ security needs through the channel.

“If you’re not committing to the channel, you’re not committing to growth,” he said. “I am excited to be working with a company like Lumeta whose team is fully committed to looking for new ways to enhance its already highly successful channel program. From my time working with channel programs within the security industry, I understand the challenges customers face when it comes to protecting their data in today’s cyber risk landscape. I’m passionate about working closely with partners to help bring more security and IT professionals the level of cyber situational awareness only Lumeta can provide.”

Lumeta said Kriksciun’s appointment comes at a transformative period for the company as it looks to enhance its channel strategy to further drive growth. The first phase of Lumeta’s updated channel plans will focus on refinement, prioritizing partnerships that offer a real and immediate value-add to customers, and being “highly selective” when it comes to working with new partners. Lumeta then will work to grow the program across the United States, and into Canada and Europe.

Lumeta works with VARs and other partners to provide network situational awareness to enterprises and organizations. It also has technology integration partners such as McAfee, Carbon Black, Cisco, VMware and others.

“Today’s customers are transitioning to and from the cloud, outsourcing business processes and exploring the Internet of Things (IoT), all of which create massive network security risks,” said Pat Donnellan, Lumeta’s CEO. “Paul is a tremendous addition to the Lumeta team as we execute against our strategic vision to provide our customers with a comprehensive and cost-effective means of securing their network infrastructure. Since joining the team, Paul has already demonstrated his impact in helping further establish Lumeta as the trusted-adviser companies need to keep their entire digital ecosystem safe and secure.”
