Juniper Networks will kick off 2018 with changes to its Juniper Partner Advantage Program.

The company said in a Thursday announcement that the changes will align with trends in the market, simplify partner requirements, and offer partners more profit. Changes will go into effect on Jan. 1.

Helda Lopes, vice president of global partner programs and marketing at Juniper, wrote in a blog that as Juniper innovates and rolls out new solutions, its partner program must evolve as well. While today’s announcement is sparse on details, the company wants to alert partners of what’s in store come the new year.

The partner program enhancements being readied for the new year include:

  • Two new cloud specializations – Cloud Integrator Specialization and Cloud First Specialization. The Cloud Integrator Specialization will support existing partners building a cloud practice and customers’ deployments of private cloud solutions built on secure, high-performance infrastructure. The Cloud First Specialization targets born-in-the cloud partners interested in expanding their expertise in secure cloud infrastructure, along with public cloud deployments and relationships with cloud providers.

  • New specializations will help partners address and tailor their business models to new emerging market opportunities such as cloud, security, data center, and software development.

  • Simplified core requirements are on the way, plus new partner specializations. The requirements will align closely with existing partner business models to ease the transition.

  • Enriched rewards will tie to specializations. The goal here is to ensure partners that their investments are relevant to their business and customers. So, expect to see enhanced specializations-based rebates and tailored marketing programs.

Expect to hear more from Juniper as the rollout nears.
