Brightpoint Opens First Fono Wireless Store

Mobile phone distributor Brightpoint Inc. said today the company has opened its first Fono Wireless retail store in Noblesville, Ind., a city approximately 20 miles north of Indianapolis.

Brightpoint will license the Fono Wireless brand to retailers that will own and operate each store location; they will sell products and services from providers including Sprint Nextel, Virgin Mobile, Vonage Holdings Corp. and Sirius Satellite Radio, through Brightpoints master agent program.

Brightpoint will support the retailers with services including site location selection, retail merchandising design, employee training and ongoing marketing support.

Fono Wireless offers entrepreneurs and existing independent wireless dealer agents the opportunity to take advantage of Brightpoint’s position in the wireless industry, and operate a unique wireless retail store that delivers a quality, unique experience to consumers, said Robert J.
