In her new role, McLachlan is charged with improving alignment and communication between Broadvoice sales, marketing and operation teams. She spent more than 20 years in management and executive roles at West, most recently as senior vice president of sales for InterCall/WestIP.

“Kim is a talented, proven executive with a strong background in sales and marketing,” said Sam Ghahremanpour, Broadvoice’s president. “Having led nationwide sales for a UCaaS and cloud-based solutions provider, Kim’s contributions to our sales and marketing teams will be of great value to our organization, our partners, and ultimately our customers.”

Under her leadership at West, the company established new partnerships, expanded the inside sales team and improved sales performance year over year.

Broadvoice offers IP-based voice and data products and services, backed by an enterprise-class, georedundant IP telephony platform. This includes its flagship cloud UC and PBX services, which feature voice calling plans throughout the continental U.S. and Canada.

Earlier this month, Broadvoice hired Taylor Baranowski, formerly a senior solutions sales executive with Vonage, as regional channel manager in Texas. And before that, it tapped Khoi Nguyen, previously with Google, OpenX and Rubicon Project, as its head of product, tasked with driving innovation to support the company’s growth.
