CenturyLink Inc. said on Monday it has expanded its global managed hosting services into China, the second-largest economy in the world.
The provider’s timing is well-planned: Gartner Inc. predicts China’s IT spending will reach $375 billion next year alone.
With that in mind, CenturyLink has established a new presence in a Shanghai data center so businesses may access managed hosting, security, cloud and networking platforms.
CenturyLink is working with Neusoft to deliver its services in China. Neusoft is a China-based IT solutions and services provider. The data center is located in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone and operated by GDS, a provider of high-availability data center services in China. Citic Telecom CPC, an information and communication technology solutions provider and long-time CenturyLink provider in the Asia-Pacific region, serves as the network provider.
