Arel Integrates With Microsoft Live Meeting

Arel Communications and Software has launched a new video and audio platform the Arel Anyware plug-in that integrates with Live Meeting, Microsofts Web conferencing service.

The Arel Anyware plug-in gives users the ability to conduct multipoint video and audio conferences from within Live Meeting. Users join a meeting after completing a brief installation and registration process inside Live Meetings custom panel. A Webcam is required for full-featured video operability.

Arels technology adapts to low-bandwidth Internet connections while retaining up to 16 video windows in a single session at any bandwidth threshold. Arel Anyware also works in secure corporate network environments or over the Internet.

GlowPoint,WebEx Team

IP video service provider Glowpoint Inc. has teamed with WebEx Communications to create an IP video-communication and data-collaboration service.

GlowPoint is integrating WebEx Web meeting capabilities into its Instant Video Everywhere, or IVE Mobile video communication service, so customers can add realtime data collaboration to their video meetings.

GlowPoints IVE service offers face-to-face communications. The mobile version provides a consistent video communications experience whether users are in the office, at home or on the road in places such as airport lounges, hotel rooms or coffee shops.

Vapps Partners with WebDialogs

Conferencing provider Vapps Inc. has partnered with WebDialogs Inc. to incorporate Web conferencing technology into its flagship CB1000 audio conferencing platform.

The enhancement will allow carriers and service providers to offer collaborative voice and data conferencing service simultaneously over legacy PSTN and IP networks.

The central component of the CB1000 enhancement is WebDialogs WebInterpoint architecture, which enables end users to share documents, presentations, Web content and applications online and in real time. This gives service provider customers an interface for hosting or joining audio/Web conferences over networks using any type of access device including traditional handsets, cellular phones or IP devices.

Some of the CB1000 features include Web-based call control, standard and advanced call management, operator support and call record details. The product supports up to 18,000 conference participants.

BroadSoft Adds Softphone to VoIP Platform

VoIP application software provider BroadSoft Inc. has released the BroadWorks Communicator, a Windows-based softphone that integrates with BroadWorks, the companys hosted VoIP platform.

The BroadWorks Communicator automatically configures user settings and updates through the BroadWorks platform; it also provides video services such as video messaging, video add-on, video auto attendant, video on hold, video call center and video custom ringback.

Other features of the softphone include directory integration with users BroadWorks and Outlook contact lists; conference calling that accommodates five additional parties; advanced security using SIP over Transport Layer Security; and multilanguage support.
