EarthLink Appoints First-Ever Chief Security Officer

EarthLink Holdings Corp. has its first-ever chief security officer.

Longtime EarthLink employee Peter Chronis was appointed to the new role, the company said this week. Chronis has led Earthlink’s entire information security and IT risk management program since 2007.

“Today’s regulatory and threat landscape is … complex,” Chronis said. “Our role in helping customers achieve their compliance objectives, keep their networks and data secure and have a safe online experience has never been more important.”

Chronis holds 15 years’ experience in technology risk management throughout several verticals.
