Interland Completes Web.Com Acquisition

Web site and Internet hosting provider Interland Inc. said today it has completed the acquisition of assets from Web Internet LLC and Web Service Company Inc., including the domain name Web.com and its trademark rights, for $4.8 million.

The deal includes a Web hosting business made up of approximately 9,000 subscribers.

Interland will change its name to Web.com Inc. sometime in the first half of 2006. Current Web.com CEO, Will Pemble, will join Interland as an executive vice president.
