MetTel Rolls out VoIP Services
November 21, 2005
Metropolitan Telecommunications (MetTel) now offers hosted VoIP services thanks to help from UTC Associates Inc., which developed and implemented the companys VoIP product line.
Using a BroadSoft Inc. platform, MetTel has rolled out IP services to select clients in New York and New Jersey, and plans to expand its coverage throughout 2006. MetTel is a CLEC that typically has served the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic areas, but that is expanding to reach the 48 contiguous states by the end of this year.
MetTel says using UTC Associates meant it could reduce the time to bring its VoIP services to market.
UTC was like a VoIP SWAT team; working with MetTel every step of the way, says Marshall Aronow, MetTels CEO. UTC not only understands how to design and deploy network infrastructure, but they also addressed the operational complexities from a service providers perspective.
