Avaya Cloud Office now includes group call pickup and an “Office Rooms” feature. In addition, they have added an “essentials package” for the European Union in order to support global expansion

RingCentral is tapping into artificial intelligence models to predict spam and robocalls that the FCC is attempting to eliminate. The FCC will make the STIR/SHAKEN policy mandatory this month. As a result, partners can sell an “industry-compliant” solution that makes them more credible with customers.

VMware‘s secure access service edge (SASE) platform now includes cloud web security.
The update provides security enforcement from the user to the application and allows users to access applications from anywhere.

AT&T is partnering with another company to offer solutions at the edge.
AT&T announced a SASE partnership with Palo Alto Networks three months after announcing one with Fortinet. The team-up brings together Palo Alto’s SD-WAN and security capabilities and AT&T’s network connectivity onto the same platform.
AT&T Alliance Channel members can sell the SASE solution.

Speaking of AT&T, AT&T Business and Cisco are helping customers adjust to a hybrid future.
The companies said they will offer Webex Calling with AT&T on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager – Cloud (UCMC). As a result, they said their partnership will bring Webex calling to more than 1 million AT&T enterprise phone users over the next five years.

Speaking of hybrid, NetApp is better enabling hybrid cloud operations with its recent updates.
First, the storage provider added intelligent application placement and automated hybrid cloud data workflow to the FlexPod converged infrastructure platform.
Second, NetApp’s scalable object store now features compliance and ransomware protection.

Windstream Enterprise, which uses VMware as the foundation for its SD-WAN, announced three new edge deices.
In addition, Windstream’s SMB unit now offers a secure private access hub.

Cybersecurity provider Proofpoint launched managed transition services.
The services help customers move from data loss prevention (DLP) products to “people-centric” tools. The update harnesses the porfolio of InteliSecure, which Proofpoint bought earlier this year.
In addition, Proofpoint launched an information protection and cloud security platform.

Gradient MSP is looking to establish “data equality” between small and large partners.
CEO Colin Knox said the company’s new data hygiene solution helps partners clean up inaccurate or irrelevent records in their professional services automation (PSA) platforms. MSPs can access the solution in a freemium manner, integrating it on their existing PSA platforms.

WatchGuard Technologies launched a new endpoint security product line that it gained from an acquisition.
The endpoint security product family comes from Panda Adapive Defense 360, which WatchGuard gained through purchasing Panda Security last year. Partners can access the endpoint security features on the same cloud management console they use for network security and multifactor authentication.

Google Cloud and Ericsson will build 5G and edge solutions together.
Ericsson has onboarded its existing 5G offerings to Google Cloud’s managed application platform.The companies are designing and testing new solutions at Ericsson’s D-15 Labs.
In addition, they’ve launched a pilot with an Italian telco’s wireless network.

Cox Business is adding Granite Telecommunications voice services to its network.
The companies had already been partnering with each other, but their new wholesale agreement makes Granite’s competitive local telephone services available on Cox’s network. They said the offering will help customers grow and “maintain price stability.”

AWS premier consulting partner Mission Cloud Services tackled the tech talent gap with a new offering.
Cloud Elevate provides customers with a cloud solutions architect that will help them launch products and control cloud costs. For example, the Boston Celtics basketball team has been using the Mission-AWS platform to assess its draft prospects.
