CLOUD PARTNERS – Cloud communications provider Nextiva (Booth 611 and an Elite Sponsor) today launched its Web collaboration application, Nextiva Meetings.

The tool allows users to hold face-to-face, multiperson meetings, webinars, webcasts and instant online conferences, and is sold through channel partners.

Nextiva Meetings offers various tools for both the presenter and participants of each session. For example, presenters can share their desktop and applications instantly, turn on closed captioning, adjust language settings, and make a session private by requiring a password.

Attendees can also exchange media and video files. The Web collaboration service has its own control panel interface and integrates with Microsoft Outlook.

“Our goal while developing Nextiva Meetings was to offer our customers a new way to communicate and collaborate with customers, partners and colleagues,” said Josh Lesavoy, CIO of Nextiva. “This new service will save businesses an incredible amount of time and money, while improving their efficiency, productivity and even customer service.”

Ira Feuerstein, channel director for Nextiva, agreed.

“We see Web and team collaboration as a natural extension of our unified communication services,” he said. “We expect that our partners and their customers will find great value in having a single source for all of their cloud communication and collaboration needs.”
