The Alliance of Channel Women event is a shoe-in (see what I did there) for the most fast-paced event at Homecoming. Members of ACW will enjoy great food and good company as they hear from ACW President and Telarus Senior Vice President of Marketing Amy Bailey. There will also be a special awards ceremony and a raffle with awesome prizes.
Pre-registration for ACW Live! closes on Friday, Oct. 29th at 12:00 p.m. ET. Tickets are limited. Additional tickets may be available at the door on a “first come, first served” basis.
To become an Alliance of Channel Women member and attend for FREE, visit www.allianceofchannelwomen.org.
The conversation around convergence has heated up, driven by customer demand, changes in consumption models and the availability of new communications and collaboration tools. In “A Deep Dive on Channel Convergence,” Craig Schlagbaum of Comcast Business will outline the benefits of converged business models, the factors driving the latest trend and why such business models might be the most pervasive in the years to come.
Channel Partners Conference and Expo will be bringing the chill factor back to Las Vegas with the #CPExpo Ice Bar. Come to the Opening Night Reception on the Expo Hall floor and check it out. Twelve feet long and weighing in at 1 ½ tons, the hand-sculpted Ice Bar will be serving up cold beverages throughout the reception.
Ice, ice baby. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
If you snap a selfie at the Ice Bar, don’t forget to tag #CPExpo.
Whether you’re getting ready to sell your business or simply preparing yourself for something you know you’ll have to do at some point in the future, you’ll need expert input to realize the maximum value for your business. And you’ll get some from John Holland of Corporate Finance Associates in his session “Channel M&A: How to Achieve Maximum Value.”
John will explore M&A trends among IT and telecommunications companies, examine the motives and modus operandi of entities looking to acquire companies, outline the factors that determine technology business values and more.
Technology and business models are both undergoing massive, rapid change. For MSPs, this means a market full of opportunities as well as pitfalls. Informa’s Bobby DeMarzo will lead a discussion featuring Len DiCostanzo of MSP Toolkit, Rob Rae of Datto and Chris Wiser of 7 Figures MSP on how to navigate and prosper in the new marketplace. In their session “MSP Masterminds: Exploring New Possibilities,” they will offer insights on topics such as growth strategies, business models of the future and strategic partnerships.
MSP 501 award winners — or 501-ers, as they’re called — will get together for the MSP 501 Awards Gala, a reception and dinner to recognize them and honor their achievements. Winners from both the 2020 and 2021 lists are eligible to attend.
You’re probably familiar with the phrase “Garbage in, garbage out” that’s used in computer science. It’s no different in channel sales. If you want good sales results, you need good sales leads. In “How to Get the Leads You Need,” Terry Hedden of Marketopia will explain how channel leaders can identify the top KPIs for their sales teams and formulate the marketing activities needed to generate the leads they need.
An offshoot of the IoT, the Internet of Behaviors (IoT) tracks individuals, using the data it collects to understand, predict and influence their behavior. “What Is the Internet of Behaviors (IoB) and Why You Should Care” features MeiLee Langley explaining how the IoB works, its implications and benefits, how it will impact business owners and how partners can use it to drive growth in their businesses.
Global sales of UCaaS are expected to reach $141 billion by 2025. It’s a great opportunity for MSPs — and other channel partners — who are focused on providing cloud-based messaging tools. Len DiCostanzo of MSP Toolkit and Jamaal Savwoir of Intelisys team up for “Bridging the Gap: How MSPs Can Build Out a UCaaS Practice.” This session will provide guidance to partners at all levels of their UCaaS knowledge on how to get started, possible pitfalls, the most channel-friend vendors, investments required and some of the more complicated issues that must be navigated.
